    2024 SWIM LESSON INFORMATION

We offer lessons for children aged 3 and older that teaches kids to feel confident in the water. Each two-week session includes eight 30-minute classes. Members can select from morning and afternoon lessons. Afternoon lessons are for members only. Non-members are invited to participate in morning lessons only.

    Pre-Beginner Beginner Advanced Beginner
A beginner is a child without much experience in the water. Their sessions would be focused on putting their face in the water, floating, blowing
    bubbles, beginning to kick, etc.
A swim beginner has some experience in the water, is comfortable putting their face in the water, but does not know how to swim quite yet. Their lessons will be focused on kicking with a board, learning to pull, breathing while they swim, and learning to swim. This is for kids who know how to swim, but aren't ready for the team (maybe they can't quite make it half way across the pool). These lessons will focus on stroke fundamentals, completing a length of the pool, and preparing them to be confident swimmers.

    NOTE TO PARENTS:

If your child is in a morning lesson, please observe from the grassy area. For safety reasons, non-swimmers must stay off the pool deck before 11 a.m. The baby pool is also off limits at that time.

    NOTE TO NON-MEMBERS:

Non-members are invited to participate in morning lessons only. Afternoon lessons are for members only. After the end of your lesson, the pool and its facilities are for Robin Hood members only. For liability reasons, non-member swim students are only allowed in the water under supervision of their swim instructor during their class time. Students cannot remain in the water to play after their lesson. Non-members may exit and re-enter the pool area as guests of a member accompanying them by paying at the front desk. Or, even better, we would LOVE our non-members to become members, which they can do by registering online. For more details about membership visit the New Members page.
